Introduction: Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) is a known risk factor for ischaemic and haemorrhagic stroke in children and young people. Cerebral oedema may predispose to ischaemic or haemorrhagic brain injury, however not all cases of stroke are associated with cerebral oedema.
